Bruno Mirrione, Sicily – Italy

In 2019, as the owner of a somewhat older yacht, the “ILVER 41 Mirable,” I decided to change vessels. Searching online, I wanted a modern yacht with appealing lines but, at the same time, with the classic characteristics of a true yacht. Personally, I don’t like the new aesthetic geometries of many contemporary yachts. I noticed the MONACHUS ISSA 45 and immediately realized it was the yacht that perfectly suited me. After a series of research and meetings with my friend Hari, I found my “SARAH” and purchased it in 2020.

Today, in 2025, I have sailed extensively, approximately 150 hours per year, visiting many Mediterranean islands, starting from my Sicily, with my entire family of five. I must admit that I am extremely satisfied with this purchase, and here are the reasons:

  • Excellent visibility at the helm
  • Outstanding stability at sea
  • Ability to plane at just 12 knots
  • Unlike many other yachts, it remains very dry even in larger waves
  • Easy engine maintenance thanks to the full opening of the external cockpit
  • Optimal fuel consumption of approximately 85 liters per hour for both 450 HP FPT engines, with an average speed of 20/21 knots and, if needed, a continuous speed of 25 knots, although I prefer not to push it
  • Good top speed of 31 knots (not for continuous cruising)
  • Spacious cockpit, pleasant for socializing with friends
  • Easy passage from stern to bow, even while underway

The only issue I encountered, having three children, is that my yacht only has two cabins – I would have preferred three, but at the time, I didn’t have a choice.

Today, I am even more satisfied with my purchase. I have refitted the stern platform, extending it according to a new Monachus project, and I recommend this yacht for all the reasons mentioned above.

Thanks to Hari and the entire MONACHUS team!
